Lighthouse Surprise Proposal in St. Augustine, Florida

Ryan and Cristy were visiting St. Augustine for a wedding, and he wanted to surprise her when they saw St. Augustine, so he chose to propose to her atop the St. Augustine Lighthouse. After 219 steps of climbing, they reached the top, where I waited with my camera to capture the moment.

Cristy always thought it would be great to have her parents around when she and Ryan got engaged, so Cristy's sister, along with Ryan and Cristy's mom and dad, were all part of the surprise! So after she said yes atop the lighthouse, we climbed downstairs and were greeted by Cristy's joyful parents and sister. This was a great afternoon, and we got some beautiful photos; check them out below!

The St. Augustine Light Station is a privately maintained aid to navigation and an active, working lighthouse in St. Augustine, Florida. The current lighthouse stands at the north end of Anastasia Island and was built between 1871 and 1874.
